High-Pitch Gable Roof Upgrade for Oakland Bungalow
Project Overview
This Oakland bungalow features a long, high-pitched gable roof with a secondary cross-gable entry and a side-positioned brick chimney. The structure’s extended layout and symmetrical ridge required careful coordination to maintain balance across ventilation and roofing elements. Multiple vents and plumbing stacks were integrated along the ridge, requiring precise placement to support airflow without disrupting the overall roof system.

Roofing System Installed
The installation included a complete roofing system designed for performance and ventilation efficiency. Components included Owens Corning True Definition Cool Roof shingles, upgraded underlayment, balanced ridge ventilation, and reinforced flashing at the chimney and all roof penetrations to ensure a secure and weather-resistant system.

Result
The new roofing system improves both ventilation and protection, supporting long-term performance through seasonal changes in the East Bay. With clean alignment and properly integrated components, the roof delivers a refined finish and reliable durability.
